Can I use my own plates and pots?
Yes. The mat works with glass, ceramic, stainless steel and enamelware dishes, as well as frying pans. Always use dishes that are heat-safe and have flat bottoms for the best contact.
What temperature should I choose to keep food hot?
For hot-holding, food safety guidance (USDA) recommends keeping cooked food at 140°F (60°C) or above. Choose 140°F or higher and use a food thermometer to check your dishes.
How long can I leave it on?
Pick a preset timer from 1 to 6 hours and the mat switches off automatically when the time is up. Never leave any heating appliance unattended for long periods.
